The seventh release from DJ Knetter Gek on his label, Select Recordings. Gekstures is a three song concept piece centering on certain key elements which define the artist. The first track, Geksture, sets the stage with gradually layered synths & distant dub techno tones atop a deep bassline. The second track, Melange, flirts along the shadowy borders of the canvas, accentuating the landscape with resonating acid stabs & atmospheric synths. The denouement comes in the form of Soliloquy. From the opening percussive plucks until the last synth stab, Soliloquy is a rise and fall, grand theater mission statement of layered percussive elements atop a present an emotive lead synth line.
