The ninth release from DJ Knetter Gek on his label, Select Recordings. 4MJC is an evocative tribute to the deepest late night house vibes tucked within the artist’s crate that have served him so well since he first donned the headphones & learned to utilize the elementary skill of basic counting on a new level. The title track, 4MJC, eases into the dusk with a shadowy bassline, gradually teasing whispers of what’s to come before rising & falling in waves of percussive tension towards the teeth chattering, full-on eruption. The second track, Stab-Ility, hones in hard on the momentum of the peak & harnesses it with the precision of a surgeon, taking no prisoners from the get-go with its throbbing drums, cavernous, swirling, specter like synths & an emotional synth bass lead that resonates deep within the recesses of the cortex.
