The eighth release from DJ Knetter Gek on his label, Select Recordings. Yoway is a two song celebration of the rich, diverse sonic textures woven deep within the tapestry of tribal cultures. The opening track, Yoway, celebrates a playful, childlike wonder encased within a meticulously sown together canvas of percussive rhythms, tropical guitars & a driving bassline. The second track, Dokula, takes a decidedly deeper, heavily primal tone. Thundering, marching drums channel the listener headlong into the dead of night, lulled further into a deep trance by an arpeggio of chants & simple melody.
